This is day and the bird, Carnegie is becoming the place to be since its founding in 18 94. The small neighborhood almost destroyed by recent floods and fires is now home to 400 businesses and building back stronger than it was before. First up, we're gonna stop at Forsyth Miniature Golf. I mean, this place has been around for 80 years bringing in kids of all ages and right now they and I are just big kids. Hey guys. Hello, I'm Christie. Hey, welcome to Forsyth mini golf. I believe 18 80 was of my great grand father bought this farm and it's been in my family ever since. And we're the latest owners. Our season is from the beginning of May through about the first week in October. Do you guys want to go check out the mini golf side? You can do that. Welcome to the golf course. Watch your step. So how long has this uh course been here? It was built in 1942. Christie's great, great uncle had the idea to start it. So next year it will be 80 years of this course being around. So it's one of the oldest in the area when we worked the golf course. You know, I got 60 70 year old people coming up saying I played here when I was *** kid, I brought my kids here and now I get to bring my grandkids here and that's really special for us to hear that. Here's one of the, the obstacles that I built since we've moved here. People think that they, they're like, well, you wanna hit the, the middle one because it's spits it out right at the hole. But they don't know that it's gonna take it in *** different direction. I wouldn't believe anything about *** hole that has *** roof on it. This is *** unique hole to us. It's hole number eight. It's basically *** chip shot at *** miniature golf course. We're in *** great location in Carnegie because we're just 10 minutes from outside of Pittsburgh. We have *** wide variety of people who come people on first dates, families, big groups. It's challenging and it's fun all at once. So it's good for all skill levels. No, I'd like to get into some golf. I'd like to like, I would, I would ask you though, like, where should I start? You know, I think you should start on hole number one. I think Eden Day will be challenged on this course and I think it's challenging enough that there can be some good competition between the two. You got *** little experience with with the miniature golf. No, not, not at all man. Cool we need it so we could we could do *** little better on this man. I get *** you buy around golf is the lower score, the less shots you take to get into the hole but you play how you wanna play for the higher score and then you can so can win by faith. Not by sight we go. Here we go, Here we go. 0000 damn it, there you go. There it is. That was *** smooth one. Alright. Get in there. Get in there. Only one I wouldn't say that we're competitive with each other but I'm not gonna lose to this guy. It's the moment of truth. Yeah, this is uh putting all the marbles on it. I know like we tied up coming to this hole. It it couldn't be no other way. Right? 00 and now if you if you do this you win. Oh God, the best and only way to celebrate *** miniature golf victory is with *** Forsyth homemade cookie ice cream sandwich. So we have *** wide variety of ice cream sandwich flavors. We have some seasonal ones. So there's like *** spiced pumpkin right now on *** Ginger Snap cookie. We have the good old reliable chocolate chip cookie with vanilla and mini chocolate chips. Frosty and fries has potato chips on it. That's *** really good one. So we have *** lot of different toppings. There's sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed, um, peanut butter cups and then we do toast our own coconut. We make our own, like kind of cobbler topping the world's your oyster. You could, you know, customize however you wanted. So, there's *** lot. So you, uh, *** baker, *** chef. Like how did you come up with these recipes? I have always loved cooking, but I've always really enjoyed baking. So I always wondered, I always felt like I wonder how food's gonna play into my career. It's gotta play in, in some way. And I never would have thought it would be with the mini golf course, but it does Oreos on the cookies and Cream Oreo with the chocolate chip peanut butter smashed party in your mouth. Right? I mean, it was popping all over my, you know what I mean? My taste something magical happens when you put Fruity Pebbles on an ice cream sandwich. How do you know the cookies would mesh? Well, we were in the horrible position of having to do *** lot of taste testing. We started noticing when we launched these, that people were trying to take pictures with their little phones because they wanted to post them. And so we thought, let's really play it up and make an ice cream sandwich photo booth. So they always have beautiful lighting to showcase our beautiful cookies. I like the boot. Thank you. You. Well, I, I, no, I am not the, I am not the like artistic designer. That would be my husband, Sam taking advantage of your, your artistic prowess here. Oh, thank you very much. And you gave her that for an anniversary. I see. I like how you think. I know what *** woman wants. Please give me *** photo booth.
