Zinsky said she went from delivering pizzas to earning a six-figure income as an insurance salesperson at Arias.

She joined company officials and top agents at conferences at beachfront resorts.

Her lawsuit said a variety of illicit drugs were used by agency employees and managers at the workplace.

“Coke, Xanax, Cialis, you name it. There was all kinds of different drugs,” Zinsky said. “It was just very cult-like in a way.”

Zinsky recorded CEO Simon Arias at a staff meeting.

“I'm raising savages that are going to be successful,” Arias said. “We're going to create so many millionaires.”

Zinsky said Arias and top officials, including her supervisor Michael Russin would wrestle in the agency office.

Zinsky says Russin sexually harassed her, including in his car, where he asked her to go for private meetings. She said Russin asked her to perform sexual favors in order to get a promotion.

When she refused, she said, “It turned into just watching him. He would pull up porn on his phone and he would say, ‘Well, then you can just sit there.’”

In court papers, Russin denied those specific allegations and also denied that he "assaulted and harassed" Zinsky.

In his response to the lawsuit, Russin admits "that there had been instances in which he was intoxicated at work" in 2019 and 2020, but he "denies that this behavior was frequent and/or open."

In a statement, his attorney said Russin takes the allegations "very seriously" and he "is confident that the result of this litigation will clear his name of wrongdoing."

A judge moved the portion of Zinsky's lawsuit against Arias Agencies and American Income Life to arbitration.

The lawsuit said Russin and other leaders at the agency would drug subordinate females with date rape drugs like GHB. Russin denied those allegations.

Zinsky said she was at a Cranberry hotel with Russin and other coworkers when she set down a drink to go to the bathroom. The next thing she remembers is waking up at 3 a.m. in a bedroom.

“I couldn't feel my body. I literally couldn't feel anything. I just couldn't move,” she said. “I was sore in certain places. I didn't understand why.”

Zinsky said she is certain someone spiked her drink with a date rape drug.

“GHB was another drug that was passed around a lot,” she said.

Abeni Mayfield also sold life insurance for Arias Agencies and she posted a video about her experience.

“It's a very misogynistic, brutal, violent environment,” she said in the video.

In an EEOC complaint, Abeni said she was "sexually assaulted during an offsite work event."

“Unfortunately, I was assaulted in a manner that I'm not sure if I can say on here. And I reported it to my management team through this company. And I was told to be quiet,” Mayfield said in the video.

In their response to the EEOC, Arias and American Income Life denied Mayfield's allegations and denied she ever complained to them. They said they have a policy prohibiting sexual harassment and discrimination.

The EEOC ended its investigation in October without making any findings. Mayfield has filed a complaint with an arbitrator.

Action News Investigates asked Arias owner Simon Arias for an interview and he declined.

In a statement, Arias spokesperson Trina Orlando said, “We do not comment on pending litigation. However, we take these claims seriously and will vigorously defend against them."

A spokesperson for Globe Life, the parent company of American Income Life, declined to comment.

Zinsky's lawsuit also includes allegations of "unethical and fraudulent business practices" including agents "forging the customer's signature and making unauthorized withdrawals."

The lawsuit also said Arias Agencies misused deceased customers' identities to fraudulently charge customers for bogus life insurance policies.

Asked if agents were selling people insurance without their consent, Zinsky said, “Yes, yes. That was very common.”

In the lawsuit, Zinsky said she told Arias about the fraudulent practices, but the company never followed up with her or gave her a response.

Arias and American Income Life's parent company declined to comment on the fraud allegations.

Zinsky said she hopes her lawsuit leads to major changes at Arias and American Income Life.

“They need to be stopped. They think they can get away with anything and everything because of the money that they have,” she said.

Zinsky's lawsuit against Russin is still pending in federal court. An arbitrator is hearing her allegations against Arias and American Income Life.
