Union made it to the state championship game for the first time in school history, but Steelton-Highspire came away with a 22-8 victory in the PIAA Class 1A title game Thursday.It's the second title in three years for the Steamrollers (14-1), who defeated Jeannette in the 2020 championship game.The Scotties (12-4) won a WPIAL championship and advanced to the state finals in their first year under head coach Kim Niedbala, who took over the program after serving as defensive coordinator on Mt. Lebanon's 2021 championship team.Five teams from western Pennsylvania are playing in the PIAA championship games at Cumberland Valley High School. Follow the action on our live scoreboard here.
