ESPN’S FLAGSHIP COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREGAME SHOW, COLLEGE GAMEDAY, ANNOUNCED IT WILL RETURN TO PITTSBURGH FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 17 YEARS WHEN PITT OPENS THE SEASON AGAINST WEST VIRGINIA, GAMEDAY LAST VISITED PITTSBURGH IN 2005, BEFORE PITT’S MATCHUP VERSUS NOTRE DAME. YOU CAN SEE HOST LEE CORSO PICKED PITT TO WIN, BUT NOTRE DAME ENDED UP WINNING THAT GAME. The college football season starts in about a month-and-a-half and the Pitt Panthers will have some special guests on the North Shore for the Backyard Brawl.ESPN’s flagship college football pregame show “College Gameday” announced it will return to Pittsburgh for the first time in 17 years when Pitt opens the season against West Virginia."Gameday" last visited Pittsburgh in 2005 before Pitt's matchup versus Notre Dame. Lee Corso picked Pitt to win, but Notre Dame ended up winning that game 42-21. “Gameday” will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, followed by kickoff at 7 p.m. in the first regular season game at Acrisure Stadium.One week later, Pittsburgh's Action Sports will have our own special coverage of Pitt football.We'll be live from the North Shore getting fans ready for when Pitt hosts the Tennessee Volunteers on Sept. 10. Pitt Gameday starts at 11 a.m. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. on WTAE Channel 4.
